Privacy & Security
PromptHub is local-first by default. Prompts, skills, rules, and configuration stay on your device unless you explicitly enable sync, cloud accounts, or third-party model calls.
Local-First
- Desktop works offline.
- Prompt and Skill data defaults to local storage.
- SQLite is used for indexing, search, and state.
- The
data/directory is the durable business-data boundary.
Private Folders
Master password and private folders can protect sensitive prompt content. Do not store raw API keys, customer passwords, or unrecoverable production secrets in prompts.
Skill Safety Scans
PromptHub can scan skills before install or in bulk to identify obviously risky content. Still review unknown skills manually before installing.
Third-Party AI Calls
AI testing, quick edit, skill translation, Rules rewrite, and image prompt reverse workflows send relevant content to the selected model provider.
